They Are Not Forgotten

I am medically retired from the United States Marine Corps. I served in Viet Nam in 1967 and 1968 and was wounded during the TET offensive on February 2, 1968 at Cam Lo, while serving with with a Combined Action Platoon (CAP Papa 5). I was finally released from the hospital and medically retired as a Sergeant on May 19, 1970. Previous to my assignment to CAP I served with the 11th Engineer Batallion

I continue to keep abreast of the Marine Corps. Our son served in the Corps from 1990 through 1994, and left active duty as a Corporal.

I am a guest lecturer at local High Schools during the Viet Nam Conflict section of American History. I have found that young people do not really know what happened in Viet Nam. I think it is important that we educate them so their generation does not make the same mistakes ours did.
